Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
Servings: 12-16 cookies
Prep time: 40 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Total time: 60 minutes
Ingredients:
·1 egg
·1 tsp vanilla extract
·1 cup butter, softened
·1 cup brown sugar
·1.5 cups all-purpose flour
·1/2 tsp salt
·1/2 tsp baking soda
·1/2 cup rolled oats
·1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
1.Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2.In a mixing bowl, using a hand mixture, beat the butter and brown sugar until frothy. Add the egg while beating.
3.Combine the flour, salt and baking soda, and incorporate them into the butter mixture.
4.Fold in the oats and the chocolate chips and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
5.Scoop the dough with a tablespoon into the baking sheet. And bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden. Cool in a rack before serving.
Notes:
Drizzle your oatmeal cookies with chocolate syrup or dip them in melted chocolate for an extra layer of chocolaty goodness.
